Please join The Divas on Saturday, October 16th, when we will hold our third annual Literary Brunch featuring Dr. Daniel Omotosho Black - "Nationally-acclaimed author of the 21st Century".
Dr. Black's first novel, "They Tell me of a Home" was published in 2006; his second -"The Sacred Place" in 2008; and you can go to Amazon.com to pre-order his new work "Perfect Peace" which is due to be released March 16, 2010. We will discuss "Perfect Peace" during the Q&A segment of the Literary Brunch.
In addition to Dr. Black, you will meet and mingle with other authors who will have their works for sale; you will again be able to shop from the Afro-centric wares of Mr. Otis Taylor; and of course, brunch and comaradie with other participants will long be remembered.
New this year will be Yearn-to-Learn Travel and Tours who specialize in putting together Professional African American Heritage and International tours. Want to travel in style? Get ready to do so with the best! Check out their website - www.yearntolearntours.com.
This year's event will be held at the Prince Georges Community College, 301 Largo Road, Largo, Maryland, from 11 am til 3 pm: Students may attend a special session with Dr. Black from 11:15 to 11:45; lunch will be served at noon; at 1:15 Dr. Black will present his keynote address, followed by Q&A and audience participation.
